Installing a heat pump involves technical know-how and the right equipment to undertake the works.
Electrical and plumbing qualifications are needed to ensure the installation meets the manufacturer's requisites.
Roland Amey Renewables Ltd has all the equipment and qualified personnel to install and maintain a wide range of heat pumps.
Piping up to a heat pump is not difficult if you are an experienced heating engineer or plumber. It is no different than plumbing to a boiler or cylinder, the same type of pipe and fittings are involved.
Electrical connections, as long as manufacturer's instructions are adhered too, should not present any difficulties to an experienced, qualified, electrician.
Connecting up to the ground loops, on a geothermal heat pump, is basic and straightforward. Obviously, if it is a borehole then specialists will be involved. Horizontal pipes can be laid by ground workers, but ensure they too adhere to the manufacturers guidelines. The pipe should be protected with a sand lined trench.
Filling the ground loop or bore hole probes is, however, best left to a specialist. Roland Amey Renewables Ltd has the equipment to fill the system with the correct amount of antifreeze and ensure that ALL air is removed. Any air in the ground collectors will impair the heat pump from functioning.
Commissioning the heat pump is another operation that should be carried out by a competent person. Checking through the operation and the system setting run times etc is essential.
Read the installation manual from front to back before proceeding or contact Roland Amey Renewables Ltd for advice.
