Exhaust air heat pumps use waste warm stale air from "wet" areas such as kitchens, bathrooms and utility areas, transferring that heat to the hot water cylinder and or the heating system.
A well designed and installed exhaust air unit system should meet normal heating and hot water requirements. However, in extreme conditions a built in immersion heater automatically switches in as a back up.
When working at its optimum, manufacturers claim that a unit can reduce energy consumption for heating by up to 50% when compared to conventional heating systems.
Exhaust air heat pumps work well with underfloor heating systems providing comfort, low running costs, long life and a minimal amount of maintenance.
We offer three different types of exhaust air heat pump systems – the NIBE 200P, 360P and the 410P.
The 200P and 360P extract via ducts; the 410P not only extracts it, it also has the capability to transfer some of the energy extracted to heat incoming fresh air.
