Ground source, air to water, exhaust air and open loop heat pumps offer one of the most energy-efficient, environmentally friendly ways of heating and cooling.

Even at temperatures that we would consider cold, the air, ground and water contain useful heat that is replenished by the sun.

Manufacturers of geothermal heat pumps typically quote a Co-efficient of Performance (COP) of 4 - basically for every 1kW of energy used to drive the heat pump 4kW of useful energy is obtained to heat a space and/or hot water.

Heat Pump Maintenance

Like every machine, a heat pump needs a little TLC now and again. It is recommended that the unit is checked over every other year.

By maintaining a heat pump you can ensure it runs at it's optimum, guaranteeing it a long life – typically 25 years.
